M&R Marketing Group in Macon, Georgia is honored to be awarded the Historic Macon Preservation Award by Historic Macon for the restoration of our downtown office.
Historic Macon Preservation Award
The award given by Historic Macon recognizes projects that focus on preserving and revitalizing Macon. Every May, Historic Macon holds an annual meeting to present the Annual Preservation Awards.
Co-Founder Nick Rios remembers his first impression of the building.
“When Matthew and I first walked in 331 Third Street we knew this building would be the new home for M&R Marketing Group. We were excited for our team to be in downtown Macon. We were also looking forward to the opportunity of renovating one of downtown’s most unique buildings.
We couldn’t have made this dream into a reality without the dedication from R.C. Poss, who served as our contractor for the six-month project. With his help, 331 Third Street accurately reflects Macon’s charm and history.
“During the renovation, we kept many of the great mid-century modern design elements such as the blue granite walls, wood paneling, brushed aluminum accents, and the metal façade on the front of the building,” said Rios. “Our goal in the renovation was to accentuate the mid-century modern design and to make it a part of the M&R brand.”
